Car owners don’t want to waste hard-earned money on inferior workmanship. Or worse, get ripped off by a dishonest shop charging for unnecessary services. The consequences of bad auto repairs can range from reliability and drivability issues to safety problems. Rushing into the first repair shop without due diligence is risky.

These concerns are why Endurance partners with reliable, independent shops through the RepairPal network. By referring customers to expertly certified mechanics nationwide, Endurance is confident that covered warranty work gets done correctly the first time. Plus, our customers get peace of mind by knowing that qualified technicians use industry-standard methods and quality parts.

The Endurance-RepairPal connection makes it easier for Endurance drivers to find and use top-quality auto repair shops and expert mechanics when covered repairs are required. RepairPal operates an extensive network of over 3,500 certified auto repair facilities and dealerships nationwide. These businesses must meet high standards for technician training, certification, customer service, workmanship warranties, and fair and transparent pricing.

The Endurance Warranty and RepairPal Partnership

If you’re like most people, there never seems to be enough time in the day to get things done, and that just involves normal activities. Add in car trouble, usually accompanied by urgency and uncertainty, and the stress level can shoot through the roof.

The idea behind the Endurance and RepairPal partnership is to reduce the anxiety and worry that come with car repairs. Working through the RepairPal Partner Network ensures car owners get the following:

  • Work performed by a qualified technician
  • Access to professionals knowledgeable with the intricacies of servicing specific makes and models
  • Use of industry-standard techniques and compatible components
  • Work that’s backed by a guarantee
  • Clear, upfront estimates that reflect applicable Endurance coverage

Why ASE Certification Matters

Selecting a RepairPal network shop also includes access to ASE Certified mechanics. The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence issues ASE certifications. This validation confirms a mechanic’s advanced skills and up-to-date knowledge.

ASE certification has stringent requirements. Certified technicians must pass exams that test their technical aptitude across various automotive systems. At a minimum, an ASE Master Automotive Technician must have at least two years of hands-on professional experience (or one year paired with a two-year degree). Additionally, ASE certifications must be renewed every five years to remain current.

ASE certification has two benefits. The process validates a technician’s skills, and the effort demonstrates this mechanic’s commitment to their profession. Seeking ASE Certification is not a casual undertaking. According to ASE, there are over 178,000 certified automobile technicians in the U.S. This group is a subset of the almost quarter-million ASE Certified service professionals.

What is the RepairPal Partner Network?

RepairPal is the leading network of verified auto repair mechanics and service centers dedicated to performing quality repair work at a reasonable and transparent price. Technicians and shops accepted into the RepairPal Certified program must pass rigorous qualification standards before being authorized to join the network.

Each business is thoroughly vetted and must demonstrate up-to-date comprehensive staff training, current technician certifications, cutting-edge diagnostic equipment, proper licensing, a history of positive customer reviews, and a process for transparent estimating and invoicing. The RepairPal validation process is anything but a rubber stamp.

  • Technical Assessment: RepairPal reviews technician qualifications for each candidate shop. This detailed analysis examines experience, training, certifications, and other credentials to ensure technicians are qualified to work on complex modern automobiles.
  • Warranty Requirement: RepairPal requires each participating shop to stand behind its work through a minimum 12-month/12,000-mile warranty on repairs and services. This coverage provides customers confidence in the quality of the work.
  • Customer Satisfaction: A candidate shop must have a solid track record of customer satisfaction to join the RepairPal network. This goes beyond looking at online reviews, which can be manipulated. RepairPal extracts a verified customer list from the shop’s computer system and then uses a third-party firm to survey clients. The results are tabulated in a Net Promoter Score (NPS), a universal customer loyalty metric.

Perks of Using RepairPal Certified Mechanics

The RepairPal Certified badge indicates that a particular mechanic or auto repair shop meets industry gold standards for advanced technical training, certification, ethical business practices, and exceptional service. You can do the research yourself. But why bother when RepairPal has already done the work?

Customers relying on the RepairPal network can expect certified technicians with years of experience servicing all common makes and models of domestic and foreign cars, trucks, and SUVs. These mechanics are current on the latest diagnostic and repair techniques for tackling the typical issues encountered as vehicles age.

Endurance customers who choose to have their cars repaired by a RepairPal-approved auto repair business benefit from high-quality workmanship and the absence of worries about receiving sloppy work or being overcharged. Standard business practices at RepairPal network shops include providing upfront price estimates for different service requests so drivers fully understand costs before work begins. This crucial step prevents unwelcome billing surprises later.

To be upfront, garantía extendida customers may still face applicable deductibles and charges for non-covered repairs. However, using a RepairPal facility helps keep those costs in check. In addition, Endurance’s in-house claim administrator works with the shop to ensure the repairs are necessary.

How Endurance Customers Access RepairPal Services

Locating qualified RepairPal auto care facilities is quick and convenient. All an Endurance coverage plan holder has to do is visit repairpal.com/endurance and enter their zip code to generate a list of approved certified repair shops, dealerships, and mechanics.

The interactive directory displays all RepairPal network businesses in the local area, showing real-time distance from the current location, contact information, customer reviews, available services and discounts, and online scheduling access. Driving directions are provided as well to guide customers easily. Alternatively, an Endurance Warranty customer service representative can help locate an approved RepairPal repair center and assist with the claims process. Further, many service options include dealerships, which are ideal for finding help with highly complex vehicles.

Most importantly, these businesses know how to work with extended car warranty companies like Endurance. An Endurance customer simply informs the shop they carry an Plan de protección automática Endurance, then discusses their plan’s coverage and claim submission process. The RepairPal shop handles the rest.

Trustworthy Repairs for Extended Warranty Customers

Even car owners with a reputable extended warranty, like those from Endurance, can run into problems if untrained technicians perform maintenance work and repairs improperly. In truth, not all mechanics have the same skills, and sloppy work can void an extended warranty (also known as a vehicle service contract).

So, while an Endurance vehicle service contract provides extensive coverage, such a plan can’t overcome the damage caused by an unqualified shop, improper repair methods, or inferior components.

That’s why partnering with RepairPal’s exclusive network of over 3,500 certified auto service facilities across America is so valuable for Endurance customers. When you bring your vehicle to a RepairPal network mechanic, you can expect a high level of care and expertise. These technicians are rigorously vetted to ensure they have the skills and experience required to work on today’s complex cars. Further, these shops follow industry-standard guidelines for all maintenance and repair work, ensuring no improper shortcuts. Also, replacement parts meet OEM standards, avoiding the problems that can come from cheap knockoffs.

Diligence upfront ensures that service work is done correctly the first time. So, car owners with Endurance breakdown protection can gain confidence in the repairs performed through RepairPal certified shops. This means that the return to the road is filled with peace of mind, not the uncertainty that may come from the work of a shady mechanic.

Lastly, RepairPal certified shops pledge to only address issues specifically covered under Endurance warranty agreements instead of pushing unnecessary services. Customers are reassured that required work and charges fall under the scope of the extended warranty (plan holders may still be responsible for warranty deductibles and uncovered repairs). The result is that no surprises were added to the final invoice.

Endurance Warranty 24/7 Roadside Assistance Program https://www.endurancewarranty.com/es/learning-center/company-resources/endurances-roadside-assistance-program/ Fri, 07 Aug 2020 09:00:00 +0000 https://www.endurancewarranty.com/?p=14059 An extended auto warranty, more accurately called a contrato de servicio de vehiculo (VSC), often comes with roadside assistance to help you in case your car breaks down. With so many options in the market, what makes Endurance’s roadside assistance program different?

For starters, not only do our customers receive the most comprehensive protection plans in the market, but they also have access to 24/7 roadside assistance that can help with more than just towing. If you’re planning a road trip to get out of the house, having Endurance roadside assistance – with more than the basics – is essential.

Endurance Roadside Assistance Benefits

You don’t have to get in a major accident or have a sudden breakdown to need roadside assistance. Many common car owner issues require roadside assistance, and having a designated provider to call will ease the stress of these situations. When you purchase an Endurance auto protection plan, you’re given access to the following roadside assistance benefits:

24/7 Availability – No matter the time of day, roadside service is available 24/7 when your car experiences a sudden breakdown. Whether you’re road-tripping, concerned about your teen hitting the road, or driving an older vehicle – you can count on Endurance to help you get back on the road.

Lockout Services – Have you ever exited your car only to realize your keys are still in the ignition? Locking your keys in your car seems like something that will never occur to you until it does. If you don’t have a spare car key handy, getting locked out of your car can cause a significant delay on the road. Typically, drivers can call the police to help bring in your vehicle, but there’s a chance your car window can be damaged. With your roadside assistance program through Endurance, a trained technician can come to you and safely open your car with little to no damage.

Delivery Services – One of the biggest mistakes people make when road-tripping is not preparing for gas stops. If your gas gauge is off or you misjudged the amount you’d need to get to the nearest station, you face the possibility of stalling in the middle of nowhere. Roadside assistance programs are typically known for towing and lockout services. In addition, Endurance also offers fuel or fluid delivery services when you can’t reach a local gas station. Note: Delivery services do not include the cost of the fluid or fuel itself.

Tire Service – Many drivers aren’t equipped to change a flat tire on their own. Experiencing a sudden blowout on the road can be extremely stressful and frightening if you’re in the middle of a long drive. Every driver should have a spare tire in their car, but if you don’t, a roadside assistance technician can take you to a nearby shop to purchase a new tire or install the spare tire.

Battery Service – When it comes to road-tripping, some prefer to make stops along the way to avoid impaired or distracted driving. Being on the road for a long time can result in little hiccups, like leaving your lights on for extended hours, which can require a jumpstart. Battery service is a common feature of any roadside assistance program, and Endurance is no different. A trained technician can give you a jumpstart. If that doesn’t help, then they can get you to a local certified repair shop for a replacement.

Towing Service – Hitting the road for extended periods is a great way to make memories, but sometimes, those memories can demand a lot from your car. If your vehicle suddenly gives out within 25 miles of the home listed on your Endurance Warranty contract, then we’ll cover it. Your contract covers any tow within 25 miles of the home listed on your contract.

Interrupción de viaje – Even with roadside assistance, you’ll sometimes experience an unforeseen issue requiring you to spend the night at a local hotel while your car gets repaired. If that happens to you, Endurance customers receive trip interruption protection in the event of a breakdown of a covered part on your Endurance contract. Drivers receive up to $150 per day for three days to help cover expenses incurred for both meals and lodging if the breakdown happens. For more information, refer to your Endurance contract.

Customers can utilize their roadside assistance right away. To avoid any issues when requesting help, we’ve outlined some ways to contact us:

Welcome to Endurance Elite Benefits https://www.endurancewarranty.com/es/learning-center/company-resources/endurance-elite-benefits-guide/ Tue, 28 Apr 2020 16:59:03 +0000 https://www.endurancewarranty.com/?p=13703 Now that you’re protected with the most comprehensive protection in the market – let’s go through some Elite Benefits that are available to you as an Endurance customer.

This is your go-to guide that helps explain everything from tire repairs or replacements to towing and collision discounts. However, we advise you to please refer to your Elite Benefits member contract for complete coverage details, terms and conditions, and the correct steps to file a claim.

Tire Replacement/Reimbursement

Taking care of your tires improves the driving experience and ensures your car lasts longer. Elite Benefits offers tire reimbursement benefits of up to $600 for a maximum of four tires for one year.

How does it work? There are two parts to this benefit – tire repair and tire replacement. This benefit is a repair-first benefit, meaning a professional will need to determine whether your tire should be repaired or replaced. The benefit does not cover normal wear and tear like worn tires, dry rot, or balding.

  • Tire Repair: If the covered tire can be safely fixed according to professional tire repair standards, this is covered up to $150 per occurrence.
  • Tire Replacement: If the covered tire is not repairable, the tire replacement cost will be covered up to $150 per occurrence (or up to $600 total). When the tire is not repairable, the new tire will match the same specifications as the original.

To receive the reimbursement benefit:

Send in a copy of your paid invoice, repair order, Elite Benefits membership page, and completed Tire Claim Form to the administrator listed in your Elite Benefits membership contract within 60 days of claim origination.

Note: Prior to any repair or replacement, you must receive authorization from your administrator. See your Elite Benefits membership contract for further details.

Key Repair/Replacement Benefits

Did you know replacing a car key fob can cost up to $500? Luckily for you, Endurance customers get up to one car key fob replacement through their Elite Benefits.

If you’ve ever had the frustrating experience of losing or damaging your key fob or car key, you know how much of a hassle it can be. If you damage, destroy, or lose your key and/or key fob for your vehicle, we will cover up to $500 for the repair or replacement.

To receive the reimbursement benefit:

Mail a copy of your paid invoice, repair order, and membership page to the administrator listed in your Elite Benefits contract within 60 days of claim origination.

Protección total contra pérdidas

We know the stress and hassle that needing a new vehicle can bring. To help, Elite Benefits can cover you if the result of your vehicle is deemed a “total loss” after an accident, with up to $1,000 going towards a replacement vehicle.

To receive the reimbursement benefits:

Within 30 days of the initial claim authorization, submit a copy of your paid invoice, repair order, membership page, police report, replacement vehicle’s lease or contract (if applicable), verification from your insurance of the total loss, and a valuation report to the administrator listed in your Elite Benefits membership contract.

Collision Repair

Car accidents can cause damage and extra expenses you don’t need. The good news: Your Elite Benefits can help in the event of a collision by offering up to $500 per incident to repair any damages to your vehicle.

To receive the reimbursement benefits:

Send in a copy of your repair order, insurance contract, insurance settlement check, written documentation from your insurance indicating the details of the loss, and a Collision Discount Claim Form to your administrator within 30 days of claim origination.

Note: See your Elite Benefits membership contract for additional details.

Emergency Roadside Service

Sudden car breakdowns can happen anytime, which is where roadside assistance can save the day. Every customer with an Endurance vehicle service contract, regardless of enrollment in Elite Benefits, can receive emergency roadside service as a standard part of their contract.

How does this work? If your car experiences a mechanical breakdown within 25 miles of your home address and in need of:

  • Towing or jumpstart
  • Flat tire change (with your inflated spare)
  • Fluid delivery like oil, water, or fuel
  • Lockout assistance

Then, a service provider will be dispatched to your location to help. The emergency roadside benefit includes “sign and drive” services, meaning you incur no out-of-pocket expenses when using it. However, if your vehicle is disabled, you will be able to submit for reimbursement of your road service expenses up to $50.

Endurance also offers trip interruption reimbursement if your car breaks down more than 100 miles away from home. We will reimburse you up to $150 per day or $450 total.

In addition, rental car coverage is available while your vehicle is at a licensed repair facility. We offer up to $30 per day or a maximum of $150 per covered repair.

The emergency roadside service is a multi-use benefit, which allows for a maximum of one use per 72 hours.

To receive the reimbursement benefit:

Mail all receipts from the incident to the towing provider listed in your vehicle service contract within 60 days of claim origination. If you’re unable to find your roadside assistance information, please call (866) 432-4443 or through the Aplicación móvil Endurance, and we can assist you.

Note: The cost of the fluid/fuel itself is not included in the emergency roadside service. Lockout assistance is only provided for entry into the passenger compartment. Roadside services are provided in emergencies only when you are unable to drive the car safely. See your Endurance vehicle service contract for further details.

Aplicación móvil Endurance

Keeping track of your remaining benefits is easy with the Aplicación móvil Endurance. All customers can access this app to see their vehicle ownership information and Elite Benefits.

When you open the app, you’ll see vehicle data, contract information, preguntas frecuentes, and an option to connect to customer service or roadside assistance.

To download the Endurance mobile app, visit the tienda Apple o Google Play.

Once downloaded, enter your email address on your Endurance contract and create a password to log in.

Extended Warranty for Cars Over 150k Miles https://www.endurancewarranty.com/es/learning-center/extended-warranty/over-150k-miles/ Mon, 23 Sep 2019 08:50:55 +0000 https://www.endurancewarranty.com/?p=12801 With interest rates at their highest since 2002, more Americans are finding ways to save as much as possible. This has led to more and more people choosing used vehicles instead of newer ones. Whether it’s for a cheaper payment or driving them after they have been paid off, car owners are holding on to reliable, used vehicles more than ever. Many see their cars do well over 100,000 miles, with some even hitting the 150,000-mile mark.

However, when it comes to high-mileage and older cars, they are often left on their own regarding mechanical breakdowns and other types of auto repairs. This is because many manufacturers’ warranties, including bumper-to-bumper warranties or powertrain warranties, that you’d find on a brand-new car from the dealership won’t be active anymore.

If you didn’t look to extend that warranty coverage when it first expired or bought a used car that was a few years old already, you won’t be able to get coverage from the automaker. Even worse, because high-mileage vehicles past 150,000 miles are often prone to frequent breakdowns and more expensive repair costs, many third-party warranty or contrato de servicio de vehiculo (VSC) providers have a cut-off limit of 100k miles.

To help give you peace of mind when it comes to your high-mileage vehicle, some third-party providers, such as Garantía Endurance, can provide you with various levels of comprehensive coverage to help protect your high-mileage vehicle from sudden maintenance issues and breakdowns.

Why Get an Extended Car Warranty for High-Mileage Cars

Continuously driving your car naturally causes wear and tear, resulting in breakdowns the more the car is driven, even when following the proper preventative maintenance schedule. For those with cars outside their factory warranty coverage, a vehicle service contract or third-party extended warranty provider can help cover you from these types of repair bills. However, only a few can give you a high-mileage warranty or coverage plan for cars over 100k miles, let alone the 150,000-mile mark, such as Endurance, autopom!, CarShield, and Ox Car Care.

But why even get an extended warranty? With the right plan, you can save thousands of dollars in repair bills for your vehicle’s various components, like your engine, alternator, water pump, transmission, and even your air conditioning and electrical systems. High-mileage vehicles especially can be more susceptible to specific issues than other vehicles, including:

  • Engine Failure
  • Faulty Transmission
  • Fuel System Issues
  • Broken Driveshaft
Endurance Warranty Coverage

Prices that high can make you and your wallet scream in fear, but as we said — Endurance has you covered.

How Endurance Can Help Protect Your High-Mileage Vehicle

The Cost Of Repairs On High-Mileage Vehicles

It is no secret that high-mileage cars will need more repairs than newer ones. As the parts get older, they are more susceptible to breaking down. Let’s look at a few examples to give you an idea of how much you can expect to pay for more extensive repairs.

Engine Replacement

As one of the most detrimental problems that can happen to your vehicle, a full engine replacement tops the list. An engine replacement may be required for a blown head gasket, cracked engine block, or catastrophic failure of the motor. You can expect to pay anywhere between $4,000 and $10,000 to replace an engine.

Transmission Replacement

The transmission in your vehicle is one of the most expensive components in your car. It is used every time you drive your vehicle and takes on a lot of wear and tear over the years. Over time, transmissions can wear out, start to slip, or shut down entirely. Expect a transmission replacement to cost about $5,193 to $5,295 on average, according to RepairPal.

Clutch Replacement

If your vehicle is equipped with a manual transmission, you can expect to have to replace your clutch at least once during the lifetime of your vehicle. The clutch is a wear item, but sometimes it can fail prematurely due to hard driving or poor construction. A clutch job can cost between $1200 to $1500.

How Endurance Can Help Protect Your High-Mileage Vehicle

While various providers can help cover high-mileage vehicles, unlike Endurance, many aren’t the direct providers of their plans. Instead, they will often sell extended warranties from other companies, such as CarShield plans being administered by American Auto Shield. In other words, you are dealing with different entities throughout your repair process.

When you’re an Endurance customer, you can rest easy knowing that we’ll be the direct provider of your plan, which means that whenever you file a claim with us, someone from the award-winning Endurance team will be with you every step of the way. Plus, you can transfer your Endurance protection to the new owner if you decide to sell your vehicle. Selling your car with an active protection plan can increase its value, too, helping you get even more for your old car.

In fact, dealing with repairs as an Endurance customer is as easy as following a few simple steps:

  1. Find and Choose a Repair Facility: A key benefit to the coverage from Endurance is that the network of repair facilities goes beyond what automakers offer. Take your car to any ASE-certified mechanic or instalación de reparación certificada — including your vehicle’s dealership. Even if you have a breakdown away from home and find yourself stuck on the side of the road, Endurance has you covered with complimentary 24/7 roadside assistance and towing, regardless of your coverage option. You’ll even be able to enjoy the help of trip interruption coverage and rental car reimbursements to help you get back on the road fast.
  2. Get Your Car Diagnosed: If you don’t already know what is wrong with your car, then all you need to do next is have the mechanics run several diagnostics to pinpoint the issue with your vehicle. They will relay this to your coverage provider.
  3. Give the Mechanic Your Coverage Contract: All coverage holders with Endurance are issued a vehicle service contract. They will use this whenever they need car repairs taken care of by giving it directly to the mechanic so they can relay the info and pricing to us.
  4. Pay the Deductible (if applicable): Some contracts may or may not have a deductible. This is typically paid at the end of the repair after your car is back in your possession.

Once those steps are taken care of, you just have to sit back and wait for the repairs to be done.

How High-Mileage Coverage from Endurance Differs from the Rest

Endurance protection plans stand apart from automakers and other providers by offering certain perks you can’t find anywhere else. For one, you can enjoy a full year of Beneficios de Endurance Élite that offers fantastic benefits, including total tire protection, key fob replacements, collision discounts, and even total loss protection, just by purchasing any level of coverage.

Along with extra benefits, the comprehensive Advantage auto protection plan truly sets Endurance apart from the rest. Like the other levels of coverage provided at Endurance, each Advantage plan will help cover you from expensive and unexpected repairs, including vehicles with over 200,000 miles. In fact, with the Prime level of coverage with Advantage, vehicles up to 20 years old can get covered with no mileage limits.

But that’s not all, as every level of Advantage can help you keep your vehicle running longer by providing you with $3,500 in yearly maintenance services, regardless of how many miles it has.

Maintenance Tips for Cars with Over 150k Miles

Any vehicle, regardless of mileage, needs regular maintenance to help keep it running. But for high-mileage vehicles especially, ensuring you are following all the recommended maintenance can help you avoid potentially costly repairs, with some of the most important maintenance including:

  • Routine Oil Changes
  • Replacing Spark Plugs
  • Replacing Coolant
  • Checking Brake Fluid
  • Rotating Tires
  • Checking Tire Pressure (Including Spare Tires)

These steps become especially important after the 150,000 mile mark, so set a reminder to always get them done when necessary. And if you have an Advantage auto protection plan from Endurance, you can save on many of these vital maintenance needs for your vehicle, including oil and filter changes, engine diagnostic exams, alignment checks, rotaciones de neumáticos that also include PSI checks, and getting help towards your car’s next state safety inspection.

You’ll also enjoy even more coverage and savings with several special, one-time services that come with every level of Advantage. That means you can get help with cooling system maintenance, a brake pad/shoe replacement, a battery replacement, and even a wiper blade set replacement.

At-Home Maintenance for High-Mileage Cars

Along with having the help of an Advantage auto protection plan from Endurance, there are other ways to maintain your high mileage vehicle right from home, including:

  • Checking all the lights for burnt-out bulbs
  • Checking the pressure of your tires with a pressure gauge
  • Vacuuming the interior and clean leather/vinyl with proper cleanser/wipes
  • Checking wipers & replacing them when they are worn

Warranty Costs for Vehicles Over 150,000 Miles

The factory warranty on new vehicles is a great way to protect your vehicle from unexpected repair costs. However, these warranties only last for a certain amount of time. Most cars’ bumper-to-bumper factory warranty will last between 3 years/36,000 miles to 5 years/60,000 miles. Some manufacturers offer powertrain warranties up to 10 years/100,000 miles, giving you plenty of protection on your newer vehicle.

For those whose warranties have expired, such as older vehicles with high mileage, the only option you will have is an extended warranty. An extended warranty usually covers specific years with mileage limits that often surpass the vehicle’s lifetime. Most extended warranties will be $1,000-$4,000, depending on coverage and the type of vehicle. For high-mileage vehicles, this can easily pay for itself as covered components start breaking down due to old age.

Best Extended Warranty Companies for Vehicles Over 150k Miles

When choosing an extended warranty company for your high-mileage vehicle, you must find one that will give you the best coverage for the best prices. You will also consider choosing one with good customer reviews, reputable service, and excellent benefits. Look at some of the best-extended warranty companies for vehicles over 150k miles.

Endurance

Endurance is one of the few direct providers of their extended warranty plans. American Auto Shield administers companies such as CarShield, so you deal with different entities when going through a claim. When you file a claim, you work directly with someone on the Endurance team to ensure you get help with each process step. You will also get Endurance Elite Benefits and a high level of coverage up to 200,000 miles. Lastly, you can enjoy up to $3,500 in yearly maintenance services.

CARCHEX

With over 20 years in business, CARCHEX has certainly made a name for itself within the extended warranty industry. With a wide variety of coverage options that can be altered to fit any vehicle, you should have no problem finding coverage for your vehicle with over 150k miles.

Like Endurance, you can choose your repair facility, get claims paid directly to the repair shop, and get expected benefits such as roadside assistance, towing services, and rental car reimbursement. However, you will not get Elite Benefits or yearly maintenance service allowances as you would with Endurance.

CarShield

CarShield is one of the most well-known extended warranty companies due to its affiliation with American Auto Shield. CarShield’s high-mileage plans sometimes extend up to 300,000 miles, giving you protection that can sometimes outlast the vehicle. You will also get month-to-month contracts as an option, bypassing the need for a lengthy contract. Choose from 6 different CarShied plans to get your high-mileage car covered.

Tips For Reading Fine Print or Contract Language For High-Mileage Vehicle Warranties

Look For Specific Exclusions and Inclusions

The last thing you want to do when dealing with a repair is to find out that your extended warranty will not cover the specific repair. If your extended warranty is exclusionary, you will need to get familiar with the exclusions and look at purchasing additional coverage if needed.

Understand Your Responsibilities

In your extended warranty contract, there should be a list of responsibilities you must abide by as a vehicle owner to keep your warranty valid. This usually includes keeping up with regular maintenance and ensuring that a certified mechanic completes the work.

Deductibles for Your Covered Claims

With any extended warranty, there is usually a deductible that has to be paid when a claim is made. A deductible is the amount you will be charged for the vehicle repair, no matter the repair cost. For example, if your plan’s deductible is $250, and your repair costs $1,500, you will only be responsible for paying the $250 deductible. As a rule of thumb, the lower the deductible, the higher the premium.

Transferrable Warranty

Many higher-end extended warranties will allow you to transfer the warranty if you sell your vehicle. This makes it easier to sell a used vehicle as the coverage helps the new owner stay protected from any unexpected repairs. This is usually stated in the contract and marketed heavily by most warranty companies.

Restrictions on the Repair Shop You Can Use

Dealership warranties usually limit where you can have the repairs done. Most of these will want you to bring the car to their dealerships to be covered under their warranty. With a third-party extended warranty, you can get warranty work from any certified auto repair shop, giving you more flexibility when your vehicle breaks down.

Payment Terms

It is also essential to understand what the payment terms are for your extended warranty. Some warranties may require paying the mechanic directly and being reimbursed for the repairs. However, most higher-quality companies will have coverage options that pay the mechanic on your behalf.

Preguntas frecuentes sobre la garantía extendida

Can I Get an Extended Warranty on a High-Mileage Car?

Yes. Extended warranties can be purchased for high-mileage vehicles. You will need to purchase an extended warranty created for high-mileage vehicles to ensure you have adequate coverage for your vehicle’s specific mileage. Some extended warranties carry well past the 200k mile mark, so consider your current mileage and how much driving you plan on doing in the future.

Can You Get a Warranty on a Car With 200k Miles?

Yes. Several options within the extended warranty industry offer coverage for vehicles over 200k miles. The EnduranceAdvantage plan is one of Endurance’s highest coverage options and will cover vehicles over 200k miles.

What Are the Benefits of an Extended Warranty?

An extended warranty benefits car owners whose factory warranty has expired.

Extended Coverage Period – The most significant benefit of having an extended warranty is the added protection past the factory warranty mileage. As cars age, components tend to fail, so as your car gets older, you will need protection from larger repair bills. An extended warranty gives you factory warranty-like coverage for years after your OEM warranty expires.

Helps Reduce Financial Responsibility – Car repair bills can get expensive quickly, especially when something significant, such as a drivetrain issue, occurs. An extended warranty helps cover these expensive repairs, helping reduce the car owner’s financial responsibility.

You Know What You Will Pay – By understanding how your extended warranty works and your deductible, you will better understand what you will have to pay for repairs on covered components. If you have drivetrain coverage and your transmission goes out, you will only be responsible for paying the deductible in your contract.

Transferable or Resale Value – Since most higher-quality extended warranties are transferable, they can be used to increase the resale value of your vehicle. An extended warranty is attractive to people looking for a reliable, used vehicle as they will get protection if the vehicle needs to be repaired without having to search and purchase their coverage.

Cobertura completa – Many extended warranties can be purchased with comprehensive coverage, giving you more coverage than you might have had with your factory warranty. They will also offer great benefits such as roadside assistance, rental car reimbursement, and trip interruption.

Protect Your High-Mileage Vehicle with Endurance

When it comes to high-mileage vehicles over 150,000 miles or more, keeping up with maintenance is key to helping you avoid issues with its major systems and taking unexpected (and potentially costly) trips to the repair shop.

Even though some extended auto warranty companies can provide you with covered repairs for many makes and models in their vehicle protection plans, whether it’s a Vado, toyota, honda, or more, they may not cover high-mileage vehicles. Worse yet, most providers won’t include maintenance in part of their coverage, leaving those with high-mileage vehicles without any vehicle service contract or extended warranty options — except Endurance.

From basic powertrain protection to near bumper-to-bumper coverage, Endurance can help with plans starting with monthly payments as low as just $99. Plus, regardless of your coverage, you’ll automatically receive benefits like 24/7 roadside assistance, rental car reimbursements, trip interruption coverage, and a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Best Practices for Filing a Claim with Endurance Warranty https://www.endurancewarranty.com/es/learning-center/company-resources/best-practices-for-filing-a-claim-with-endurance-warranty/ Fri, 09 Aug 2019 09:15:00 +0000 https://www.endurancewarranty.com/?p=12401 As you go on your normal commute to work, a friend’s house, or a nice event — BOOM!  The unthinkable happens, and you get into a mix-up that requires your car to be repaired. Situations like these are very draining, but you’ve prepared for this by ensuring your vehicle is protected with an Endurance vehicle service contract, also known as an extended car warranty or auto protection plan. We don’t want to toot our own horns, but we’re skilled at handling claims for our customers at Endurance.

We’ve outlined below how to file a claim so you can get your vehicle repaired quickly. The bright side is that we handle the heavy information and only require the steps below from you to make sure you’re back on the road in no time.

Best Practices for Filing a Claim With Endurance Warranty

  1. Prevent further damage.
  2. Take your vehicle to a licensed repair facility.
  3. Service manager obtains authorization from the administrator prior to making any repairs.
  4. Authorize tear-down and/or inspection.
  5. Review your warranty coverage.
  6. Pay any applicable deductible.
  7. Keep all forms of documentation during this time.
  8. Sit back and relax while your car is getting repaired.

The steps to file a claim are also outlined on your Endurance contract, which can be accessed on the Endurance Mobile app.

Download the Endurance app: Google Play | tienda Apple

Man with coffee looking at the Endurance mobile app on his phone

Let’s go through each step of filing a claim at Endurance so you know what to expect.

Prevent further damage.

This is easier said than done when it comes to preventing additional damage to your used car.

Preventing further damage to your vehicle makes filing a warranty claim at Endurance much easier and less stressful for you in the long run.

We suggest taking immediate action to repair the issue, and thankfully, with Endurance — you can! Roadside assistance is accessible 24/7 and can help you take your car where it needs to be for repairs. The number to contact them can be found on the Endurance Mobile app.

Our priority is getting you back on the road quickly, so reducing the chance of further damage alleviates a lot of stress from this situation.

Take your vehicle to a licensed repair facility.

Another benefit of Endurance? You can take your vehicle to any ASE Certified repair facility of your choice for added peace of mind.

What we consider a licensed repair facility is a for-profit entity recognized by the state in the business of repairing motor vehicles.

We don’t require customers to visit a specified location, so as long as the shop is certified, then you are good to go.

Make sure to provide the licensed repair facility with a copy of your Endurance contract or contract number prior to anything being done to your vehicle. When filing a claim with Endurance, the steps you take matter, and double-checking your level of coverage eliminates any sudden charges to you.

Shop service manager filing a claim at Endurance

Service manager obtains authorization from the administrator.

Prior to any repairs being made, instruct the service manager at the licensed repair facility to contact the administrator (which would be Endurance in this case) to obtain authorization for the claim. The repair shop or service manager should contact us at (224) 326-0619 as soon as possible to get the ball rolling.

If any claims for the auto repairs are made without prior authorization, then they will not be covered (except as provided under emergency repairs mentioned below.)

If an emergency occurs that requires repair of a breakdown to be made at a time when Endurance’s office is closed, follow the “filing a claim” procedures above without authorization, and we will make the reimbursement to you or the licensed repair facility in accordance with the contract provisions (if the repair is covered). Call Endurance within five (5) business days from the date of the repair to determine if such repair will be covered under your contract. Emergency repairs are only those repairs that would render your vehicle inoperable or unsafe to drive if not performed.

Authorize tear-down and/or inspection.

In some cases, you may need to authorize the licensed repair facility to inspect and/or tear down your vehicle in order to determine the cause and cost of the repair.

Review your warranty coverage.

After Endurance has been contacted, review with the service manager what will be considered a covered repair using the contract you have with us.

We offer a wide range of coverage plans that provide different levels of coverage, so depending on which one you go with, this step will be affected. The Endurance representative should have outlined the coverage options you have with us, but you can also reference your contract for a full list in detail.

As mentioned, filing a claim at Endurance might seem stressful, but we strive to provide the best customer service to our customers.

Pay any applicable deductible.

You must pay the licensed repair facility any required deductible. A deductible is a specified amount of money that you must pay before Endurance can pay a claim and is included in your contract.

On our end, we will reimburse the licensed repair facility or you for the cost of the work performed on your vehicle that is covered by us.

Once authorization is obtained and the repair is completed, all the repair orders and documentation must be submitted to us within thirty (30) days (365 days in Wisconsin) to be eligible for payment.

Drive away after your claim

Once all those steps are met, viola! You can sit back and relax while your car is being repaired. The process of filing a claim through your extended auto warranty is complete, and your car is on the way to being back on the road again.

Extra Perks with Endurance Auto Warranty

All of our auto protection plans include a year of Beneficios de Endurance Élite, which offers the total package in terms of automotive coverage. Even if you have a minor setback on the road, you have 24/7 access to roadside assistance that can get you back to driving. You can even receive other great perks like key fob replacements, tire repairs or replacements, and more.

You can even upgrade to our Advantage plan, where you’ll not only receive the most comprehensive vehicle coverage on the market but also up to $3,500 in regular maintenance. Services such as alignment checks, tire rotations, oil changes, and more.

We’re not here to remove the seriousness of an accident or filing a claim with Endurance, but our primary goal is to make sure YOU are okay and the heavy work is done by us. If you have any questions regarding your contract, feel free to contact our customer service team at (866) 432-4443.

What is a Drivetrain Warranty? Coverage, Benefits & FAQs https://www.endurancewarranty.com/es/learning-center/extended-warranty/what-is-a-drivetrain-warranty/ Mon, 15 Oct 2018 22:01:56 +0000 https://www.endurancewarranty.com/learning-center/?page_id=10586 Once your vehicle’s initial factory warranty has expired, there are many types of warranties and vehicle service contracts that can help you when faced with unexpected and costly repair bills. From an extended auto warranty, a powertrain warranty, a bumper-to-bumper warranty or any other type of auto protection plan, it’s important to understand what each can offer you and your vehicle in terms of protection.

One of the most common and often misunderstood types of warranties is what is known as a drivetrain warranty. Unlike a powertrain warranty, which protects the components that power your vehicle, such as your engine, a drivetrain warranty focuses on the parts of your car that transfer that power to the driving wheels, transmission, driveshaft, and axles. A drivetrain warranty will often include the wheels themselves.

For manual transmission vehicles, the following components are covered under a drivetrain warranty:

    • The Rear axle with hypoid bevel gear
    • Final drive
    • Flywheel, Clutch
    • Gearbox
    • Propeller shaft
    • Rear axle
    • Differential

The following are drivetrain warranty components on automatic transmission vehicles:

    • The Torque converter
    • Transmisión
    • Propeller shaft
    • Rear axle
    • Differential

drivetrain-warranty

When selecting an extended warranty or service contract for your vehicle, it’s essential to understand what components are or aren’t covered in your plan. At Endurance, we understand the importance of knowing the differences between a drivetrain warranty and any other kind of vehicle protection. By selecting the wrong coverage, you can be left uncovered and responsible for any costly repair bills you may face.

Drivetrain Warranty vs. Powertrain Warranty

As mentioned before, the main differences between a drivetrain and powertrain warranty are:

  • A drivetrain warranty includes coverage for the transmission, driveshaft, axle shafts, and wheels. Your vehicle’s engine is not covered under this type of plan.
  • A powertrain warranty is focused on the parts that make your vehicle move. This includes everything from the engine itself to the transmission and every component that allows energy to transfer from the motor to the wheels.

It is also important to remember that most extended auto warranty providers will not include any aftermarket or custom-built parts or components under their covered repairs. Regular maintenance is also important, as failure to maintain your vehicle can also lead to you voiding your coverage.

It is also important to remember that most extended auto warranty providers will not include any aftermarket or custom-built parts or components under their covered repairs. Regular maintenance is also important, as failure to maintain your vehicle can also lead to you voiding your coverage.

What’s the Difference Between Insurance and an Extended Car Warranty?

When you get insurance for your vehicle, you agree to a contract between yourself and your insurance company to protect yourself from any potential financial loss. However, most insurance plans will only help cover against damages caused by an accident, theft, or natural disaster. If you experience any mechanical breakdowns or need other repairs caused by normal wear and tear, you’re left paying those repair costs on your own.

Thankfully, this lack of protection is why a factory warranty is put into place by the manufacturer of your vehicle, promising that their product will perform in a particular way for a specific period of time. If your vehicle does not meet those standards, the manufacturer will reimburse you for any repairs or replacements as outlined in your warranty.

However, most factory warranties typically last three years or 36,000 miles – whichever comes first. Once that coverage expires, any repairs you may face outside of what your insurance covers are left to you to pay. Thankfully, an extended warranty or vehicle protection plan, such as one from Endurance, can help provide you with protection from mechanical breakdowns or other unexpected and costly repairs so you can have peace of mind for the road ahead.

Endurance Can Help Protect Your Drivetrainusing-drivetrain-protection

When you experience any drivetrain or other type of unexpected breakdown with an Endurance protection plan, follow these simple steps:

  • Find and Choose a Repair Facility – A key benefit to the coverage provided by independent companies like us at Endurance is that our network of repair facilities goes beyond what automakers have to offer. Simply take your car to any affordable, reliable, and trustworthy mechanic or repair facility in your area and know you’ll have help with any costly repairs. Better yet, each of Endurance’s protection plans can also help cover the costs of routine maintenance, such as oil changes, thanks to the EnduranceVentajaTM.
  • Give the Mechanic Your Coverage Information – All coverage holders with Endurance are issued a contract and contract number. When visiting a repair facility, present them with this information to help them know if your plan covers the necessary repairs. Not only is it that simple, any one of Endurance’s coverage plans automatically comes with a free year of Beneficios de Endurance Élite where you can receive extra perks like 24/7 roadside assistance, key fob replacement, and more.
  • Get Your Car Diagnosed – After having your contract information, the mechanics will run several diagnostics to pinpoint the issue with your vehicle. Once the problem has been determined, the facility will relay this information to us before starting repairs.
  • Wait for your Repairs – Once approved, all you need to do is sit back and wait for your repairs to be completed. If they are expected to take awesome time, Endurance can work with you to help with finding a rental car as a part of your Endurance Elite benefits. You can also receive trip reimbursement for food and lodging for up to three days if you happen to experience a breakdown 100 miles from hope with the help of the trip interruption benefit.
  • Pay the Deductible (if applicable) – Some vehicle service contracts may or may not have a deductible. This is typically paid at the end of the repair after your car is back in your possession.
  • Take Your Car Home – Once any applicable deductibles have been paid, you’re all set! Having your vehicle protected with any Endurance vehicle protection plan means we’ve got you covered for the cost of any:
    • Parts
    • Labor
    • Any applicable taxes.

What is a Powertrain Warranty & What Does It Cover? https://www.endurancewarranty.com/es/learning-center/extended-warranty/powertrain-warranty/ Fri, 07 Sep 2018 23:58:41 +0000 https://www.endurancewarranty.com/learning-center/?page_id=10503 When it comes to the types of factory or extended warranty coverage for your vehicle, few can be as crucial as a powertrain warranty. The powertrain system of a car provides and converts power to the vehicle. The term “powertrain” may also apply to motorbikes, airplanes, boats, and various other machinery pieces that use an engine for power. But when it comes to your vehicle, a powertrain warranty covers the parts of it that are in charge of moving it, like the engine, which turns the driveshaft through the transmisión.

To truly understand what is and isn’t covered with your powertrain warranty coverage, it’s essential to familiarize yourself with what a warranty is, how it differs from insurance, and how your car’s powertrain operates.

What’s the Difference between Insurance and a Car Warranty?

To simplify the two, car insurance covers your vehicle from accidents while extended warranties cover you from the cost of unexpected repairs. More specifically, a warranty of any kind is a formal guarantee that the manufacturer of a product makes, promising that their product will perform in a particular way for a specific period. So when it comes to purchasing a brand new car or most other types of new vehicles, you’ll get factory warranty coverage.

The warranty is put into place if the product (your vehicle) doesn’t perform precisely as specified when initially purchasing it. But that coverage won’t last forever, usually lasting between 3 years/36,000 miles or 5 years/60,000 miles, whichever comes first. So once that original manufacturer’s warranty has expired, sometimes manufacturers will choose to offer additional protection, known as an extended warranty.

Some extended warranties, also known as contratos de servicio de vehículos when coming from providers other than your automaker, such as the Advantage protection plan from Endurance, can also include regular maintenance in their coverage. Think how when you buy a new Apple device, you can purchase AppleCare to protect your device once the original warranty has expired, which is exactly how an extended warranty or vehicle service contract works.

Warranties also can come in several different forms, but the powertrain warranty is often considered to be the most important one, as a powertrain warranty covers the costlier parts of your car, like its engine and transmission and can help save you thousands of money.

What is a Powertrain?

powertrain-components

While a car’s engine is a major part of its powertrain, it’s not the only one. For example, the components of a vehicle’s powertrain include:

  • Motor
  • Driveshaft
  • Transmisión
  • Transfer Case (for four-wheel and all-wheel drive vehicles)
  • Differential
  • Internal Working Components of an Engine

The Engine

engine

Your car’s engine is an extremely important piece of this powertrain warranty puzzle. The engine burns air and fuel to generate power for moving your vehicle. As mentioned in the powertrain warranty, the car engine consists of the whole engine block and the internal components.

The parts and components of the engine block can include:

  • Hoses
  • Sensors
  • Bolt-on Components

Internal parts and components of the engine itself can include:

  • Pistons
  • Crankshaft
  • Timing Belt
  • Gears
  • Exhaust and Intake Valves
  • Oil Pump

Keeping the engine maintained adequately with frequent oil changes ensures that your car’s powertrain warranty is valid. It is worth mentioning that modifications, neglected maintenance and physical damage to your car may result in a rejected powertrain warranty claim on the engine.

With the Advantage auto protection plan from Endurance, you can be certain that you’ll have extensive powertrain coverage while also being able to save on some of its most important maintenance needs. With up to $3,500 in regular maintenance services, including up to three oil and filter changes, you can be certain your car’s powertrain will be protected.

Differentials

differential

The differential uses rotational movement from the car’s longitudinal axis and converts it into rotational movement on your latitudinal axis (this is side-to-side). Your car wheel will turn as a result. To operate, a differential uses gears that mesh together. On a front-wheel-drive (FWD) vehicle, the front differential is often included internally inside the transmission. While on a four-wheel drive (4WD) or rear-wheel drive (RWD) vehicle, it is external, as is the case with a rear differential on all-wheel-drive (AWD) vehicles.

If the differential is built into your transmission, you should perform its necessary maintenance simultaneously with your transmission. If it is external, be sure to change the fluid at regular intervals according to your car’s preventative maintenance schedule that you can find in your owner’s manual or have a trusted mechanic do it.

If you do not, you may void your powertrain warranty.

Transmisión

transmission

The second most important component covered under a powertrain warranty is the transmission. This part gets its input from a rotating crankshaft in the engine and adjusts it to seamlessly shift gears as well as change directions from forward to reverse and vice versa.

Similar to the engine, its internal parts and case are generally included as part of the powertrain warranty. But while these parts are generally included, sensors and wiring (or cables) on a transmission usually are not covered. However, a great thing to note about the transmission is that they need infrequent maintenance, though you have to perform it on time to make sure that your powertrain warranty remains intact.

Transferir caso

transfer case

In most cases, the transfer case works by attaching itself to the car transmission and sending rotational power to your car’s front or rear differential through drive shafts. So, if your car has a transfer case, you have to change the fluid according to the car manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule.

Only those vehicles that have all-wheel or four-wheel drive have transfer cases. The function of a transfer case is to transmit power to the suitable set of wheels, rear or front, per the input the case gets from a vehicle’s settings.

Remember that any failures because of abuse or lack of proper maintenance are more likely to be denied by your powertrain warranty.

Should You Buy a Powertrain Warranty For Your Vehicle?

Having the right kind of warranty or vehicle service contract can be crucial when protecting your vehicle’s powertrain. For example, take a look at the cost of replacing some of the most important parts of a Chevrolet Malibu’s powertrain with repair data taken from RepairPal.

These can include:

  • Camshaft Replacement: $630 – $749
  • Engine Mount Replacement: $233 – $251
  • Automatic Transmission Shift Cable Replacement: $192 – $228
  • Powertrain Control Module Replacement: $476 – $543

Overall though, engine coverage in a powertrain warranty usually includes the following components:

  • Cylinder Block and Heads
  • Oil Pan
  • Internal Parts
  • Valve Train
  • Water, Oil, and Fuel Pump
  • Fuel Injectors
  • Flywheel
  • Gaskets and Seals

Some powertrain warranties may also include coverage for items such as:

  • Hubs and Wheel Bearings
  • Axle Shafts
  • Intake Manifolds and Exhaust

How Does an Extended Powertrain Warranty Work?

When car owners purchase an extended powertrain warranty, they expect their car to be covered if a malfunction or mechanical failure occurs, just as any factory powertrain warranty coverage. However, be certain to read through all the coverage included in your plan, as coverage plans tend to offer coverage for specific things.

This is why you must know exactly what is and is not covered to avoid any potential problems and hassles when repairs have to be made. But, if you have a vehicle service contract from Endurance, you can take your car to any instalación de reparación certificada o Certificado ASE technician.

Before making the repairs, the auto repair facility will contact Endurance in order to report that a claim needs to be filed before repairs are made. Once we have verified that your vehicle service contract is up-to-date, we pay the repair facility directly for covered repairs. You would be responsible for paying the deductible, if any, that is required for your plan. Most plans tend to have a standard deductible of $100, while others offer $50 or even $0.

Imagine getting thousands of dollars of repairs done to your vehicle and only paying $100!

Benefits of Powertrain Coverage

The better care you take of it, the longer it will last when it comes to any vehicle. As a result, you might be diligently committed to the manufacturer’s programa de mantenimiento recomendado. But no matter how up-to-date you are regarding routine maintenance, all cars eventually break down. And once your manufacturer’s warranty expires, you are left responsible for paying for repairs.

With common repairs costing hundreds or even thousands of dollars, there is no reason a driver should be driving without vehicle protection in the form of a powertrain warranty or any extended car warranty or VSC! In fact, numerous automotive research sites show that your powertrain components are most likely to fail outside of the manufacturer warranty time frame, further showing just how important this kind of coverage is.

Outside of protecting you from the high cost of auto repairs, with Endurance, you can be certain we’ll be able to help you in the following ways:

Endurance Can Offer Peace of Mind on Repairs & More

Endurance Can Help Increase Resale Value

And when that time does come, having an Endurance auto protection plan can help you get even more for your vehicle. That’s because not only will potential buyers know the vehicle has been taken care of, as routine maintenance is vital for keeping your plan active, but most Endurance plans are also transferable. Meaning you can assure the next owner of your car, truck or SUV that Endurance will cover their powertrain, drivetrain and other vital components of the vehicle.

Is Your Extended Auto Warranty from Endurance Warranty? https://www.endurancewarranty.com/es/learning-center/company-resources/is-an-extended-auto-warranty-from-endurance-insurance/ Sat, 16 Sep 2017 15:49:58 +0000 https://www.endurancewarranty.com/learning-center/?page_id=881 When people search for an extended auto warranty, oftentimes they believe that they are buying a type of insurance. While the two are similar, they are also quite different. We field this question countless times a day asking if our product is considered Endurance insurance. Unfortunately, it isn’t. Fortunately, it’s better.

First, let’s go over what an extended auto warranty is. Remember when you or a relative purchased a new car? Well, one of the benefits of buying new rather than used is that the new car comes with a manufacturer’s warranty. This is the manufacturer’s way of saying: Hey if something goes wrong with the car, we’ve got you covered.

But when this factory coverage runs out, they will no longer pay for any repairs to your vehicle. Those repairs will be left to you. But that’s where an extended auto warranty comes in, better known as a vehicle service contract. This form of coverage protects your vehicle the same way your original warranty does, paying for repairs if your vehicle ever breaks down.

Basically, Endurance Vehicle Protection is not Endurance Insurance.

Insurance does protect your vehicle but in a completely different way. Because the roads are so unpredictable, many states make it mandatory that you have collision insurance. This means that if you are ever in a collision that results in damage to your car, the insurance company will pay for your bills. This is where the two work similarly. This is why many people (incorrectly) refer to our product as Endurance Insurance.

Think about how many times you have had to file an insurance claim: Probably not more than a handful of times if any in your entire driving career. Now think about how many times your car has broken down and you needed to get it fixed: More times than you could possibly remember.

While collision insurance might be mandatory to drive in most states, coverage from Endurance can prove to be just as useful, if not more! But instead of having to wait until your vehicle ends up in the repair shop, give us a call today to find out how affordable a useful an Endurance vehicle protection contract can truly be.

About Endurance:

Endurance Vehicle Protection is the nation’s premier provider of extended vehicle coverage. By administering our very own Endurance coverage plans, we are able to “cut out” the middleman and pass along these savings onto our valued customers. This also means that throughout the entire life span of your contract with us, you will be dealing directly with us and not a third-party company. We believe in empowering confidence for the road ahead but we also believe in empowering consumers to buy with confidence.

Where Can I Use Endurance? https://www.endurancewarranty.com/es/learning-center/company-resources/use-extended-warranty/ Tue, 27 Jun 2017 22:44:55 +0000 https://www.endurancewarranty.com/learning-center/?page_id=1540 Certified mechanics and repair facilities across the U.S. accept Planes de protección automática Endurance for claims and vehicle repairs. An Endurance protection plan, also called an extended warranty or vehicle service contract, is generally a wise investment if you have a used car.

After all, what do you do if you’re driving down the road one day and your vehicle begins to act up? Some people may continue driving, cross their fingers, and hope for the best. Others might pull over and take a look under the hood.

But if you’re an Endurance customer, you’ll just need to give us a call to find a repair facility near you. Almost all licensed repair shops and mechanics – and most definitely Certificado ASE technicians – accept Endurance auto protection plans.

Repairs After Your Manufacturer’s Warranty Expires

Unfortunately, if your manufacturer’s warranty or factory warranty runs out, you are liable for paying for any mechanical repairs. If you’ve had work done on your car in recent years, you’ll know that it is not cheap.

Insurance may not help, either. A car insurance company will only cover your vehicle repairs if a collision occurs. And chevrolet, toyota, and other vehicle manufacturers won’t cover your repairs if your factory warranty has expired. Unless you already have cobertura de garantía extendida, you’ll probably shell out thousands of dollars to repair your vehicle.

Many dealerships and third-party providers, such as Endurance, offer drivers extended warranty protection for their vehicles. One benefit of choosing an Endurance vehicle protection plan over a dealership plan or competitors like CARCHEX o CarShield is that you can customize your coverage plan based on your vehicle, needs, and budget.

Though your covered repairs will vary depending on your contract, Endurance Warranty will generally cover the parts, labor, and taxes if your vehicle needs repair. In addition, we are a direct administrator of most of our plans – meaning we will work directly with the repair shop to handle the claims process while you wait to get back on the road.

Most certified shops accept an Endurance plan, whether it’s an automotive dealership or a local mom-and-pop repair facility. And we can help you find a reputable repair shop when needed!

Repair Facility FAQs

Will my dealership accept an Endurance vehicle service contract?

Yes, dealerships throughout the United States accept Endurance vehicle protection. We encourage our customers to choose the licensed repair facility that they are most comfortable with. If you trust your dealer over a standard repair shop, you can use it for your own peace of mind.

Does my local repair shop accept an Endurance contract?

Yes, your local repair shop will most likely accept Endurance vehicle protection. However, your local repair shop must employ certified mechanics. As long as a certified mechanic works on your vehicle, your Endurance protection plan will be accepted.

Will chain repair shops like Midas or Pep Boys accept an Endurance contract?

Of course! An Endurance plan will be accepted at any licensed repair shop. When your car needs to be serviced, show your Endurance vehicle service contract, and we will pay the covered claims directly to the facility. There are no messy forms to fill out or long reimbursement programs. A small deductible may apply, but this depends on your protection plan.

Where else can I go for repairs that are covered by my Endurance vehicle service contract?

Unlike most garantías extendidas or vehicle service contracts, Endurance plans are honored at any licensed repair facility anywhere in the nation. These facilities include dealerships, chain shops, or your local repair shop. Even if you are away from home, your vehicle will still be covered when you need repairs.

We partner with RepairPal, the largest auto repair certification provider, to connect customers with certified mechanics at shops nationwide. You can find a repair facility near you right on the Endurance website.

Endurance Warranty Customer Service Stands By You https://www.endurancewarranty.com/es/learning-center/company-resources/customer-service/ Tue, 13 Jun 2017 21:44:21 +0000 https://www.endurancewarranty.com/learning-center/?page_id=1571 A company’s customer service department can either be your best friend or your mortal enemy. Take a moment to think back to the last time you had to contact a company’s customer service department.

How was it handled? Was the outcome favorable? Did you hang up feeling satisfied?

The answer to these questions most likely depends on the company in question. With Endurance Warranty customer service, we strive to make every customer interaction as positive as possible, aiming to meet your expectations and address your concerns with our dedicated support team.

Customer service is a top priority at Garantía Endurance. Because your satisfaction is so important to us, we go the extra mile to keep you happy. Since our founding in 2006, we have been deeply committed to a customer-focused approach, paying close attention to the feedback and needs of each and every consumer.

The Endurance Warranty customer service department was established not only to assist our customers but also to ensure their utmost satisfaction.

Why Is Customer Service So Important to Us?

Many consumers might think a customer service department isn’t a big deal. However, let us show you why it actually is a priority.

In the world of extended warranties, most companies selling auto protection plans or vehicle service contracts act as intermediaries. While there’s nothing inherently wrong with that, Endurance operates a bit differently.

Although we do offer contracts from other administrators, we are also the direct administrator of most of our plans. This means that if you buy from us, depending on which contract you choose or where you’re located, you are most likely buying a contract directly from our company. Let’s break it down for you:

  1. You, a vehicle owner, search for extended coverage and compare companies.
  2. You’ll discover most companies only offer contracts from other administrators.
  3. However, with Endurance, we sell our very own vehicle service contracts in addition to those from other administrators.

Regardless of whether you purchase an Endurance plan or a contract from one of our “A-” rated administrators, you’ll receive the same excellent Endurance Warranty customer service. We aim to be more than just a “middleman” in your purchase, which is why our customer service department is so essential.

Another advantage to having an in-house customer service department is that we’re always here to help. Instead of passing you around from company to company, our Endurance Warranty customer service department handles any claims or questions directly.

Award-Winning Customer Service

Don’t just take our word for it! Over the last few years, our company and customer service team have been recognized with numerous accolades for our commitment to consumer satifaction, including:

Contact Endurance Customer Service

We understand how stressful it can be when your vehicle breaks down or you have questions about your Endurance contract. The last thing we want is to add to your stress. Vehicle VIN Number – Why It Matters? https://www.endurancewarranty.com/es/learning-center/company-resources/vin-number/ Mon, 26 Aug 2013 17:52:05 +0000 https://www.endurancewarranty.com/learning-center/?p=763 When we speak to our customers over the phone we try to develop a relationship of trust so that they know that everything that we do, we do it for them.

In fact, that’s the whole reason we’re in the extended coverage industry to help customers like the ones reading this now. Because of this, we sometimes ask a few weird questions in an attempt to get drivers the best price y highest coverage on an Endurance extended warranty. And while these questions may seem odd at first, trust us, your answer can only help us help you better.

A common question that we get a lot at Endurance is “Why do you need my VIN number?” Now a lot of you are probably reading this and have no idea what a VIN number is. For those of you who do not know, a VIN number is your Vehicle Identification Number. It is a serial code that helps identify your vehicle. Pretty self-explanatory, huh? (More information here.)

And some folks get a bit uneasy when we ask for it when trying to produce their Endurance extended warranty quote. But what they don’t understand that their VIN number is not some sort of private information that should be kept an absolute secret. In fact, it just helps us get you the most accurate quote for your extended coverage.

Besides, dealerships list cars for sale online with the VIN number! And anyone can see it through your windshield at the grocery store. Companies such as InstaVIN.com even use it to populate a vehicle history report. If a VIN number was something that could somehow reveal personal information about our customers, we wouldn’t ever ask for it!

3-Reasons Why We Need your VIN Number for Endurance Extended Warranty Quotes:

Accurate Quote– Supplying us with your VIN number gives us the most accurate, down to the penny! This way there will be no surprises when you activate your Endurance extended warranty!

Recalls and Service Advisories– Your VIN number allows us to see the recalls and service advisories that the manufacturer has issued on the vehicle. This allows us to asses risk on the vehicle while we properly choose a contract that will best protect the parts that are breaking down the most on the vehicle.

Best Price- VIN numbers go hand-in-hand with discounts. A “clean” VIN can elicit more discounts, this ensures that you are getting the very best price on your coverage.

It’s our vehicle protection specialists job to assist you in any way we can, and giving us your VIN number only helps us do this.

Saving the Day, the Extended Auto Warranty Way: Customer Testimonials https://www.endurancewarranty.com/es/learning-center/company-resources/extended-auto-warranty-customer-testimonial/ Tue, 30 Jul 2013 19:50:51 +0000 https://www.endurancewarranty.com/learning-center/?p=588 We love to share our customers’ stories when we hear a good one. Not that every story our customers tell us isn’t a good one, there are just some that better show the importance of extended coverage  than others. While an extended auto warranty might seem like a frivolous expense, but they’re a lot more useful than you’d expect.

An extended auto warranty is vehicle protection that you put on your car after your manufacturer’s warranty expires. But an extended auto warranty is better referred to as a vehicle service contract and covers parts, labor, and taxes for repairs.

One of our customers named Regina W. called in to file a claim the other day. We record every call our customers make and the head of our claims department really thought I should give it a listen.

Regina’s Extended Auto Warranty Testimonial:

Regina lives in Chicago, IL, which isn’t too far from where our headquarters are located. If you have ever been to Illinois or seen it on the Weather Channel, you’ll know we can have some pretty harsh winters. Maybe not the worst in the states, but they’re definitely no walk in the park.

This winter has been hit or miss and when the weather really acts up we’re looking at feet (not inches) of snow, below 0 temperatures, and solid reasons why we’re nicknamed the Windy City. All of which can be rough on your vehicle, but not if you have an extended auto warranty.

Regina has been a customer of ours for 2-years now and has had to use her contract only once in that time. As a winter getaway, she and her family had a trip to Las Vegas in the works to cure their winter blues.

On their way to the airport, their car started to stall until it eventually completely went out. What a way to start a vacation, huh? But because she had extended coverage she not only got her vehicle towed to the closest mechanic, a rental car to continue their drive to their flight, and continued their vacation while their vehicle was fixed. Out of the $2,400, Regina only paid $100. A nice treat to return home to.

With an extended auto warranty you are fully protected. Where your insurance company covers your vehicle if you’re ever in a collision, extended vehicle protection covers your car if a repair is ever needed. You might not be able to afford a $2,400 repair bill, but you’d be surprised at how affordable extended coverage is.

How Much Does an Extended Car Warranty Cost? https://www.endurancewarranty.com/es/learning-center/company-resources/extended-car-warranty-cost/ Tue, 21 May 2013 18:09:53 +0000 https://www.endurancewarranty.com/learning-center/?p=229 A manufacturer’s warranty on your new car can protect it from unexpected repair costs once you leave the dealership showroom. However, many of these factory warranties only last three years or 36,000 miles. Once this coverage expires, you can look for what is known as an auto protection plan or extended car warranty, which can continue the coverage of your vehicle for mechanical breakdowns and other auto repairs that car insurance may not cover.

When searching for an extended warranty, auto protection plan, or vehicle service contract, it’s common to wonder how much a contract will cost. At Endurance, we understand why price and value are important for any potential auto protection customer.

The cost of an individual auto protection plan depends on many factors unique to your vehicle and needs. While we can’t estimate exactly how much your individual plan will be per month, we can give you a glimpse at what factors contribute to a plan’s cost.

Factors Contributing to Extended Car Warranty Cost

Finding a coverage option that is right for you will be determined by a few factors, such as:

  1. The age of your vehicle
  2. Your driving habits, such as how frequently you drive
  3. Vehicle mileage
  4. Your budget

While there are other potential factors, these three main ones will ultimately determine your total extended car warranty cost. We sometimes refer to these factors as “moving parts” because they are different for every customer and constantly moving, which means we can customize a contract to fit your needs.

For example, consider these two drivers:

Driver 1: He drives a 2018 Toyota RAV4 with 43,000 miles on it. He frequently drives his vehicle with his long commute to work and his child’s soccer practices on the weekends. This schedule frequently puts him at about 1,000 miles a month. When researching extended coverage, he wants a $50 deductible.

Driver 2: This driver owns a 2016 Audi A6 that is only driven about 300 miles a month, primarily for errands and driving to work daily. This vehicle is already five years old and has 32,000 miles on it.

These two drivers show obvious differences, such as vehicle age, vehicle price, mileage, etc. Along with these variances, the vehicle make/model and daily usage can affect an auto protection plan price. Fixing an Audi is more expensive. However, compared to the higher mileage Toyota, it is less likely to need a trip to an auto repair shop or an unexpected call for a tow truck. This difference means these two cars will likely not qualify for the same contract and thus will have a different auto protection plan or extended car warranty cost.

extended car warranty cost

Generally, an extended car warranty costs approximately $4,000. But, as we’ve mentioned, every driver and contract is different. When your car needs repairs, and you don’t have coverage, the mechanic will require payment in full. At Endurance, to assist drivers with costs, we offer specialized payment plans to fit your budget so you won’t be left paying expensive repair costs on your own.

To review how much a vehicle protection plan or extended car warranty will cost, contact Endurance online o llámanos al (800) 253-8203. Once connected, you can receive a free, no-obligation quote to help you find an affordable auto protection plan. Gain peace of mind behind the wheel with Endurance!

FAQs: Extended Warranty Cost

Which extended car warranty covers the most for the best price?

Endurance offers a wide range of coverage plans that provide total protection to customers. Drivers have different habits, and depending on your vehicle information, we can work to find the most suitable plan for you. Also, all plans include one year of Beneficios de Endurance Élite for extra perks such as Asistencia en carretera 24 horas al día, 7 días a la semana and towing, tire repairs, key fob replacement, and more. A small activation fee applies.

What repairs are covered by an extended warranty?

For a list of our exclusions, check out each plan we offer, including sample contracts with full details. The amount of coverage differs from plan to plan, but each one comes with our Elite Benefits. For even more comprehensive coverage, be sure to check out one of our levels of coverage with Advantage, the most comprehensive auto protection package available on the market today.

How is the cost of an extended car warranty determined?

The cost of an extended warranty is determined by various factors that differ from customer to customer. However, the most common factors are the age of the vehicle, the vehicle’s mileage, and your driving habits. Our representatives can also help you find a plan that fits your budget. Click here to get a quote with Endurance.

How does the cost differ between a factory warranty and a third-party administrator?

The cost of a factory warranty is typically higher than a third-party provider, as the dealership will often serve as a middleman, marking up the price of the contract. Endurance is a direct provider, meaning we develop our own plans to help car owners like you find the plans you need at prices you can afford, unlike third-party warranty providers such as CARCHEX o CarShield. We are the direct administrator of most of our plans, so you know that when you’re working with Endurance, you’re getting the best price available for the coverage you need.
